BHIM SKILLS: The Livingstone Foundation Rolls Out The Debut Edition Of Its Free Training Workshop [PHOTOS]

Many of the Ghanaian citizenry have their works affected by the global pandemic, Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Nonetheless, in partnership with UNITYLINK Financial Services, Burniton Music Group (BMG), and the BHIM Shop, The Livingstone Foundation (TLF) – a non-governmental & non-profitable and charity organization have, on Friday, July 10, 2020, staged the maiden season of its free training workshop dubbed “BHIM Skills”.

Hosted at the St. Augustines Church in Ashaiman, and as a way of adhering to the social distancing protocols arrayed by the Ghana government to curb the spread of COVID-19, the charitable organization founded by Stonebwoy – a multiple award-winning Ghanaian born reggae/ragga & dance-hall artiste, employed the services of coaches with the technical know-how to train an estimated 100 participants or entrepreneurs.

The BHIM SKILLS training workshop seek to ameliorate the booming level of unemployment rate in Ghana as the coronavirus outbreak led to companies across the length and breadth of the country temporarily downsizing operations and also making employees work from home. It also created an overall knowledgeable entrepreneurs who can work independently without constant help and supervision from others.

The training covered the area of small scale farming activities, entrepreneurial development training, food & agro food processing, fashion accessories production, production of household cleaning products, natural cosmetics production, aluminum & metal works and fashion designing. Participants were also taught advanced techniques to help them complete everyday tasks more efficiently.

Speaking at the training workshop, Nickelodeon & BET Winner| 3-Time Best Reggae/Dancehall Act in Africa, Stonebwoy stated that, in these hard times where a lot of Ghanaians have lost their jobs, it is necessary to use his outfit (The Livingstone Foundation) to create opportunities for the citizenry to learn a skill to enhance their financial status and to bridge the gap between the employed and unemployed.

He revealed that, periodically, this charitable initiative will move into different spaces to where services of professional trainers who have knowledge in a particular field would be recquired to imbibe the work culture and ethics to create an environment suitable for the labour force sector. He, however, added that, The Livingstone Foundation will, on the 17th of July, be giving a humanitarian aid to the visually impaired at the Eye of the Lord Orphanage Home at Nsawam in the Eastern Region.

The participants, entrepreneurs and beneficiaries of this initiative who spoke to Gerrard-Israel, expressed delight and appreciation to Stonebwoy, his wife – Dr. Louisa Satekla, and their entities (Burniton Music Group,The Livingstone Foundation and The BHIM Shop) for their kind gesture. They added that, in these difficult moments, it is imperative to note that, every step taken by Dance-hall Juggernaut to enable self-employment in Ghana is worth the commend as it would go a long way to help future generations.

THE LIVINGSTONE FOUNDATION is a non-governmental organisation with the vision of alleviating the suffering and hardship of the brilliant but needy and the vulnerable in the society by way providing monetary, technical aid etc. It main focuses are Main focuses ▪Equal Access to Education ▪Accident Survivor Healthcare ▪Community Advocacy and ▪Youth Empowerment.

The Livingstone Foundation “give life” to Kanu Ebenezer

Few weeks ago, The Livinstone Foundation, established by Africa’s most revered reggae & dancehall artiste with international presence and reputation, Stonebwoy, represented by Ayisha Modi (@she_loves_stonebwoyb) and Gerrard-Israel paid a visit to Kanu Ebenezer; a young guy who was finding it difficult to cope with life after involving in a fatal motor-vehicle accident.

As part of the non-profit and charity organization missions prior to the existence of the foundation, the reggae musician born Livingstone Kwame Etse Satekla and wife, Dr Louisa Ansong Satekla made payments for him to undergo a surgery. The Livingstone Foundation can confirm that, a successful surgery was carried out. The young guy is in good condition, but according to the Surgeon, he needs days to fully recover.

The Livingstone Foundation express massive appreciation to all who are taking time out of their busy schedule to checkup.

The Livingstone Foundation support Kanu Ebenezer to undergo surgery [SEE PHOTOS]

African Dancehall star, Stonebwoy, and Dr. Louisa Satekla, through The Livingstone Foundation, made a cash donation to Kanu Ebenezer, a young Ghanaian who was involved in a fatal motor-vehicle accident, to undergo series of surgeries that will make life return to normalcy for him. The presentation was done by Entrepreneur and Social Media Commentator, Ayisha Modi (@she_loves_stonebwoyb) on behalf of the charity organization.

Receiving this kind gesture, Father of the victim expressed his profound gratitude to the family of the musician and The Livingstone Foundation for giving them high hope and chance to enjoy life again.

The Livingstone Foundation partner Ayisha Modi to provide for The Eye Of The Lord Orphanage Home

Giving isn’t a business transaction, but rather, it’s a human connection that has the objective of making the world a better place for the vulnerables in the society, thus far, the Livingstone Foundation, in collaboration with The BHIM SHOP and Ayisha Modi – a Social Media commentator and advocate, gave a humanitarian aid to The Eye of the Lord Orphanage Home, Eastern Region on the 17th July, 2020

In this unusual and hard-times of the global pandemic, Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) the charity organization, established by multiple-award winning Reggae/ragga & dance-hall star, Stonebwoy, presented some assorted and variegated items to the residential institution, or the group home, devoted to the care of orphans and other children who are separated from their biological families to help ease their “literally’ financial burden.

The items donated include, bags of rice, bottles of water, toiletries (articles used in washing and taking care of one’s body), energy drinks (specifically for the matrons, houseparents or teaching parents who are not lactating mothers and are above 18years), boxes of Indomie noodles, non-alcoholic beverages, bags of water, clothings, facemasks, exercise books, cooking oil, a cash of Ghs 3,000 and a lot more.

Receiving this humanitarian offer on behalf of the institution, the Director of The Eye of the Lord Orphanage Home, Nsawam, expressed his profound gratitude to the Nickelodeon & BET Winner| 3-Time Best Reggae/Dancehall Act in Africa and The Livingstone Foundation for this generosity, assuring him and his foundation of ensuring that, the items would be put to good use for the full benefit of all involved.

The exercise witnessed the presence of notable Ghanaian public figures, actors, Musicians comedians, including Kwaku Manu, Funny Face, Afia Schwarzenegger, Diamond, Legendary Yaw Sarpong and the wife of Stonebwoy – Dr. Louisa Satekla.
