STONEBWOY & DR LOUISA: Arts And Medicine Celebrate 3 Years In Marriage

In the Ghanaian entertainment ecosystem, relationships come and relationships go. All too often, couples simply don’t stand the test of time — or the increased scrutiny and added temptation that comes with fame. Then there is Dr. Louisa and Stonebwoy. On June 16, music’s reigning King and Queen of healthcare celebrated 3 years of marriage. And a cursory glance at this past years prove they’re in it for the long haul.

Have the past 3 years been perfect? No. Actually, far from it. But that’s precisely what makes Lou and Stone such an incredible couple. In addition to the good stuff — showing up for each other, taking the stage together and more — they’ve weathered a few harrowing storms in their relationship and come out on the other side.

Dr. Lou and Bobo are far from perfect (and c’mon, no couple is), but they are real. And honest. And, it goes without saying, a beautiful couple raising beautiful children together in an industry that doesn’t exactly nurture family over fame. They have spawned two wonderful babies – a boy and a girl. The baby boy – L. Janam Joachim Setakla Jnr. becomes the second child of the couple after they welcomed their 2-year-old daughter, Jidula Catherine Setakla, in 2017 some few months after their wedding.

Marking this memorial day, Dr. Louisa took to her official Instagram page to express her joy for coming this far in their journey. She posted;

“Happy Anniversay to us! 3 years and counting. Thank God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us, we are eternally grateful. @stonebwoyb ❤️🙏🏾”

“Time flies ❤️!! 3M years More” – Stonebwoy commented

Reggae legend, Rocky Dawuni, tips Stonebwoy for a Grammy laurel

Grammy Awards nominee, Rocky Dawuni has backed Stonebwoy in his quest to win the Grammys with the recent ‘Anloga Junction’ album. Stonebwoy has vowed to go the extra mile and do whatever it takes to win the Grammys with his album as a reward to Ghanaians for their continuous support for his music and craft.

Rocky Dawuni who is the first Ghanaian to get a Grammy nomination with his 2015 ‘Branches of the same tree’ album told Amansan Krakye in an exclusive interview on GBC Radio Central. “In the Grammys getting a nomination is as powerful as getting the award itself. It took Ghana about 50 years to get a Grammy nomination so it won’t be difficult to get another nomination.” – he stated

“Stonebwoy’s album has the potential and possibility to get a Grammy nomination. But what we need to know is that with every album you have about 20,000 voting members who are all musicians spread around the world. So everyone’s case is different and what everyone perceives to be a great album according to their opinion is different.”

It’s not only Stonebwoy’s album but there are a lot of albums which have been released by Ghanaian artistes that deserve a nomination in the Grammys” he concluded.
